Senior Consultant (Data Management)

Skill Set Required (Must)

 Experience in analysing and insight generation of General Insurance products

 Hands on experience in General Insurance customer, policy and claim data, dashboard and

report management.

 5+ years of relevant experience

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 A solid understanding and demonstrated experience in working with complex data

problems, insight generation, BAU reporting, Requirement gathering.

 Expert in data handling using SAS and SQL

 Good foundation of Data Model, and ETL tool Building

 Directly managed or Mentor 2-4 member team

 Experience in working with either of the followings functions: Pricing, Reserving, Exposure

Management, Risk management

 

Skill Set Required (Good to Have)

 Grad/Post-Graduate in numerical degree from reputed institute (e.g. Maths, Accounting,

statistics, Engineering etc.)

 Awareness of actuarial methodology and concept

 Hands on experience in wiring Python, R, AWS, Azure for data engineering

 Working in Agile methodology

 

Key Accountability

 Scoping & Planning: Provide inputs related to time estimation to Project Manager, if

requested

 Requirement gathering: understand the task and list down to dos based on the discussion

with stakeholders, project owner and project sponsors.

 Project Training: Guide junior team members on training required for projects

 Data Management: Process and reconcile complex data structures. Identify and resolve data

gaps / issues in line with best industry and commercial practices

 Dashboard Building: Conduct analysis for low to high risk Dashboard Building by applying

best in practice techniques.

 Conduct self-review and escalate issues / seek review from STM.

 Explore new / more appropriate analysis methodologies, Check and validate appropriateness

of applied methodologies.

 Meetings & Discussions: Attend Stakeholder meetings to provide inputs during meeting on

projects, Share updates with project team

 Peer Review: Conduct independent peer review for low to medium risk projects as per best

practices.

 Reporting & Documentation: Prepare full project documentation such as assumptions, final

output, etc. Prepare draft final Stakeholder presentation and report as per STM guidance

and company visual standards

 Ensure RSA standards for project management and visual standards are followed at all times

 

 Build and maintain effective working relations with internal teams and stakeholders
