Sr Backend Engineer

This role requires a Senior level backend developer skilled in Python. Candidates must be able to pass an algorithmic coding challenge in Python.

This role will be supporting CZI's platform team, working on backend infrastructure systems and platforms with Rest API's to provide to applications. Basically this person will be building out the entire backend of the application.  

• Senior Level Backend engineer Working on distributed systems
• Strong experience in Python development
• Strong experience in REST APIs – creating/writing, exposing, and consuming (not just consumers)
  • Using Flask
• ORM experience
• Experience in Distributed systems
• Postgres
  • Relational database experience
    • SQL
    • Optimizing, joins, queries, etc.
• Experience in AWS environment
• CI/CD – Kubernetes – familiar with this
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Engineering mindset with heads-down coding

Required Skills : -Skilled in Python - must be able to code in Python -Strong experience developing Rest API's using Flask -Experience working on distributed systems -Postgres, SQL -Some CI/CD experience/knowledge - working with Kubernetes, Docker -AWS services experience -ORM -Experience working within an Agile environment
