SQL Developer

Job Overview: As a SQL Developer with 1-3 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions that support our business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build data models, and optimize queries to ensure efficient data management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Design & Development:

• Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases and data structures.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Create and manage database objects, including tables, indexes, and views.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and generate reports and dashboards to support business decisions.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and testing.

Performance Tuning & Optimization:

• Monitor and optimize database performance for efficiency and speed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and data discrepancies.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Document database designs, processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Best Practices & Compliance:

• Follow industry best practices for database management and security.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database management systems.
• Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
