Job Description

Location: Bangalore, Airoli
 

1. Install and configure new Microsoft SQL Server instances, including AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering.
 

2. Manage SQL Server databases of applications
 

3. Monitor system's health and performance
 

4. Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
 

5. Analyze, solve, and correct database related issues from application.
 

6. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
 

7. Check all statistics related to memory, locks, I/O, database response time, wait events, top sessions and background processes.
 

8. Monitoring and resolving data lock issues
 

9. Install SQL Server service packs and updates
 

10. Make system design recommendations according to Microsoft SQL Server best practices.
 

11. Manage database backup & recovery & DR planning in collaboration with IT manager and System Engineer.
 

12. Create, modify, and optimize SQL Server Agent jobs and maintenance plans. } Proactively monitor SQL Server maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed jobs and resolve issues in a timely manner.
 

13. Resolve Daily alerts from all ours SQL servers( diskspace, CPU and deadlock issues)
 

14. Creating SSIS packages for Oracle teams to copy data from one environment to other environments.
 

15. Making sure all the databases are backed up through Rubrics.
 

16. SYSAID Database migrations and data separation.
 

17. WC_CMMN integration Testing – SSIS Packages.
 

18. CSG database migrations
 

19. xDM Application Database installation (DEV,QA,PROD)
