Solutions Architect

Position Summary:

Bank of America is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and implement comprehensive technology solutions that align with business objectives. This role involves solution evaluation, architectural oversight, and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure effective buy vs. build decisions. The Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in developing innovative architecture frameworks and optimizing technology solutions for enterprise-wide applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and technology leaders to align solutions with business goals.
• Lead solution evaluation, buy vs. build analysis, and early project cost estimation.
• Provide technical oversight during the design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Maintain architectural documentation and ensure compliance with enterprise governance and strategic goals.
• Interpret business needs and recommend cutting-edge technology solutions.

Required Skills & Technologies:

 Enterprise Architecture & Governance
 Application Development & Middleware: Java, WebSphere, .NET, IIS
 Frontend Technologies: Angular, Vue.js, JavaScript, Web Technologies
 Databases & Middleware: Strong understanding of database management & middleware solutions
 Cloud & Containerization (Nice to Have): Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/Azure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a financial services or banking environment.
• Strong ability to translate complex concepts into multiple architectural views for different audiences.
• Expertise in oversight processes for managing alignment of changes to strategic goals.
