Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand complex business requirements to translate them into scalable and efficient SAP BW/4HANA solutions.
- Design and architect robust SAP BW/4HANA data models and components including ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and Transformations.
- Implement best practices and adhere to SAP development standards in all areas of BW/4HANA architecture and modeling.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP BW/4HANA and source systems (SAP and non-SAP).
- Optimize data flows and performance through proper data staging, partitioning, and modeling techniques.
- Provide guidance on data lifecycle management, data volume handling, and query optimization.
- Lead solution workshops and technical discussions with stakeholders to define roadmap, solution design, and implementation strategy.
- Ensure documentation is developed and maintained for architecture, design, and development artifacts.
Experience Requirements:
- 4-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW, with at least 3-5 years focused on SAP BW/4HANA architecture and solution design.
- Proven expertise in architecting end-to-end BW/4HANA solutions aligned with enterprise business needs.
- Experience with mixed modeling (BW and native HANA models), data extraction using ODP/CDS views, and data provisioning through SLT or SDA.
- Successfully led multiple SAP BW/4HANA implementation or migration projects from legacy BW systems.
- Skilled in performance tuning, data model optimization, and implementing reusable design patterns.
- Strong understanding of SAP Analytics tools integration (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office).
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices is an advantage.
- Ability to document and communicate complex technical designs to non-technical stakeholders.
