Description

  • Work with Customer Support and Software Development teams to understand and reproduce customer found defects and validate fixes.
  • Install and configure test tools like Ixia, iPerf, etc. to emulate complex networks in test environments.
  • Log and track failures in a bug tracking system. Troubleshoot failures and work with the software development team to get them fixed.
  • Review functional specs and test plans and provide feedback.
  • Create and manage the schedule for assigned test efforts. 

     

Qualifications

 

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in CS/CE/ECE plus 2 years of experience, preferably in the SD WAN technologies (India)
  • Knowledge of security protocols such as IPSec, IKE and ACLs is desired.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with virtualization solutions (ESXi and KVM), cloud technologies including public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in some or all of the following areas: DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, NAT/PAT, QOS, VXLAN, EVPN, and routing with a strong proficiency in BGP
  • Knowledge and skills related to software test methodologies and the use of test tools is required.
  • Experience configuring, testing, trouble-shooting, or supporting ethernet network switches.
  • Experience with Ixia, Wireshark, tcpdump, or a similar network traffic generation or packet capture/analysis tool.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following: Linux, network management, or scripting.
  • Highly motivated. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Likes to take initiatives and drive collaboration
