Software Quality Engineer, Senior

We seek a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our team in Argentina. The ideal candidate is an experienced test professional with a strong background in functional and non-functional testing, quality assurance methodologies, and cutting-edge testing technologies. The role requires a deep understanding of modern testing tools and strategies to ensure seamless and high-quality software delivery.

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for functional, non-functional, and exploratory testing.
Lead end-to-end testing efforts, covering UI/UX, responsive design, cross-browser, cross-device, and geolocation-based testing.
Work with tools like Zephyr, JIRA, and TestRail for test case management and reporting.
Conduct API, database, and automation testing for backend and frontend validation.
Perform performance, security, and accessibility testing to ensure robust software quality.
Develop and implement automated test scripts using modern test automation frameworks.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and improve software quality.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, including Generative AI, AI-driven testing, and automation.
Identify gaps in test coverage and drive continuous improvements in testing strategies.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning.
Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Strong expertise in Zephyr or equivalent test management tools.
Proficiency in functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, usability, and accessibility testing.
Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies.
Basic knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar. (not mandatory)
Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud-based testing strategies.
Experience with AI-driven testing tools and Generative AI applications in test automation is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
Bonus: Familiarity with web-presence brands or markets, with knowledge of domains, hosting, e-commerce solutions, and similar. Experience with testing purchase flows through storefronts, payment gateways, and similar is highly desirable.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge of AI/ML-driven testing methodologies.
Exposure to containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes for test environments.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.
