Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute feature and bug fix testing for the FortiSASE SIA application using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Automate front-end testing using Selenium (Java).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, switching, and routing.
  • Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of QA concepts, Agile development practices and testing processes.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and development skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and a customer orientation.
  • Knowledge and interest in collaborative development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as this person will work in a highly collaborative environment.

Required Experience

  • Experience in software testing, including web application and REST API testing.
  • Experience with SaaS products is an asset.
  • Experience with Selenium (Java) is an asset.
  • Experience with endpoint software (such as FortiClient or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Experience with code review systems and bug tracking services is an asset.
  • Experience working with load and performance testing tools.
  • Experience testing .NET web applications is highly preferred.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field.
