Software Engineer with Python

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist in the troubleshooting of production issues, root cause analysis, and necessary code fixes to improve stability.
• Participate in the identification, grooming, and implementation of a product backlog to meet customer demands.
• Establish effective working relationships directly with company practitioners and company clients.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of SaaS and modern microservices architecture.
• Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Good knowledge of REST architecture.
• Excellent ability to translate business requirements into executable requirements.
• Familiar with best practices around security.
• Able to write short scripts in scripting languages like python.

Required Experience

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience developing with Python.
• Experience working with Java/J2EE/Spring environments.
• Has experience working in agile environments.
• Experience with data engineering and building data driven applications.
• Experience in codification of business rules/requirements in the Python programming language.
• Experience working with web services (SOAP APIs, REST APIs, OData, etc).
• Experience working with open source Python development frameworks like Django, Django Rest Framework, and FastAPI.
• Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, etc).

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
