Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consultation on complex software engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
  • Analyze and resolve large-scale or long-term engineering challenges involving multiple variables and novel factors.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Ensure solutions meet functional, compliance, and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Contribute to Agile Scrum ceremonies and support continuous integration and delivery practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, military service, or education.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Java / JavaScript
    • XML, SOAP, REST APIs
    • Tomcat 10, Unix/Linux environments
    • JAXB
    • Oracle databases
    • Automated testing frameworks
    • Backend service development
    • OpenShift or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems and propose scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
