Software Developer

The Texas Education Agency is seeking two Software Developer 2 candidates to work on converting DataStage jobs into SSIS jobs, leveraging existing databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and stored procedures. The developer will work within an Agile framework, collaborating across multiple stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of reports for Texas's 1200 school districts. Key responsibilities include:
Converting DataStage jobs to SSIS jobs while leveraging existing databases.
Working with ETL tools, data integration, and data mapping.
Troubleshooting ETL issues and optimizing performance.
Participating in Agile development for code changes and updates.
Conducting dev/unit testing and documentation for updates and new features.
Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with SSIS and ETL processes.
7+ years of proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
7+ years of experience with various ETL tools, data integration, and data mapping.
7+ years of ability to troubleshoot ETL issues and optimize performance.
7+ years of experience in dev/unit testing.
7+ years of experience in Agile development.
5+ years of experience with PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
5+ years of experience with IBM DataStage
