Snowflake Architect

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key Lead in the conversion from on-premise data center (Netezza) to the Cloud (Snowflake).
• Guide end-users through the process of migrating to Snowflake and develop methodologies to improve the migration process.
• Manage third-party vendor (onshore/offshore) to keep their team on track, manage reporting estimates and hold accountability of on-time delivery.
• Serve as a technical expert in order to facilitate conversion activities.

Required Skills

• Deep understanding of SnowFlake architecture and processing.
• Exposure in data streaming tools/services like Kafka / Kinesis etc.
• Exposure to CI/CD & DevOps tools in AWS and Onprem.
• Snowflake Certified preferably (SNowPro).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with members of the business as well as offshore resources.

Required Experience

• Experience in building highly scalable Data Warehouse systems.
• Experience with SnowFlake data warehouse.
• Hands on experience in Snowflake Cloud Development.
• Experience in Snowflake Admin Management.
• Experience with SQL and PLSQL, SQL query tuning, database performance tuning.
• Experience in writing complicated SQLs, analyzing query performance, query tuning, database indexes partitions, and stored procedure development.
• Experience with Data Ingestion into SnowFlake such as Snowpipe.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
