Job Description

1. Site Reliability Specialist, On-prem
2. Technical Skills:
3. Deployment of physical and virtual Linux systems, servers, Dell iDrac
4. VMware vSphere Administration, deployment, patching, configuration
5. Installation, configuration, and management of ESXi hosts
6. Performing vSphere upgrades and patch management
7. Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies in a virtualized environment
8. Server architectures and configurations
9. Power distribution systems (PDUs, UPSes, etc.)
10. Infrastructure monitoring tools, (Nagios, SNMP, Splunk ITSI, PRTG)
11. Scripting Language familiarity (Bash, Python)
12. Hardware deployment, physical systems racking, cabling, etc
13.  
    1. Datacenter Operations
14.  
    1. Server Room and Rack Cooling
15.  
    1. Coordinate with Facilities to address issues
16. Basic understanding of network topologies, including VLANs
17. Familiarity with switch configuration and connectivity testing
