Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage our Azure-based infrastructure, with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security.

Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications and services within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Utilize Chef for infrastructure automation and configuration management.

Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using Datadog and/or Splunk.

Manage and optimize NoSQL databases, specifically Cassandra and/or MongoDB.

Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and releases.

Configure and manage F5 load balancers to ensure optimal traffic distribution.

Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate infrastructure provisioning.

Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Bash, Shell, and/or TypeScript.

Support and troubleshoot Java microservices.

Analyze memory and garbage collection logs to identify and resolve performance issues.

Manage and troubleshoot systems in both VMware Windows and Linux environments.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure software is designed for reliability and scalability.

Participate in on-call rotations to address production issues and ensure system uptime.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

Extensive Chef experience (critical).

Extensive Azure Cloud experience (critical).

Extensive Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) experience (critical).

Extensive Datadog and/or Splunk experience (critical).

Extensive Kubernetes experience (critical).

Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra / MongoDB).

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience with F5 load balancers.

Experience with Terraform.

Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Shell, and/or TypeScript.

Experience with Java microservices.

Strong understanding of Kafka.

Experience in analyzing memory and garbage collection logs.

Experience with VMware Windows and/or Linux environments.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
