Site Reliability Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Respond to production issues unresolved by L1/L2 support teams.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical problems across the full Tessell stack.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Tessell service stack and offerings.
• Escalate unresolved issues to engineering and collaborate closely for quick resolution.
• Work directly with customers during incidents in a professional and solution-focused manner.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and knowledge base articles for recurring issues and best practices.
• Ensure uptime, performance, and reliability of production systems and cloud-based databases.

Skills Required:

• 6+ years of experience managing production databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) in cloud or on-prem environments.
• 2+ years of experience working in AWS or Azure environments.
• Familiarity with AWS Kubernetes, ELK stack, and monitoring tools.
• Minimum 6 months experience in Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
• Good understanding of Linux OS, system internals, and command-line tools.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and incident handling skills.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
