Description

  • Analyze business needs and translate them into technical requirements for ITSM,ITOM,HAM,SAM and any other functionalities on the ServiceNow platform and oversee the development process.
  • Lead the design and architecture of ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, automation tools and integrations to automate process and meet business needs.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and also document the entire ITSM solution for future reference.
  • Establish a comprehensive technical architecture and implementation strategy. This involves defining data models, workflows, integrations, and overall system architecture to optimize ITSM and ITAM processes.
  • Integrate ITAM with other ServiceNow modules - Ensure seamless data flow between ITAM and modules like CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and ITSM (IT Service Management).
  • Advise, Design and implement IT service management (ITSM), IT operations management (ITOM), and related processes as per best practises with customizing ServiceNow configurations including custom scripts, automation tools, App Engine Studio etc to ensure solutions align with business needs.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external tools like SCCM, Client BigFix, Zoho MDM, JMAF, Success Factors, SAP, Thousand Eyes, Sentinel, Ariba, Azure, AWS, GCP to name few and CMDB for a holistic view of IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure seamless integration of ServiceNow with existing IT systems like CMDB (Configuration Management Database) or any external systems .
  • Develop workflows and automations to improve efficiency and accuracy in IT asset tracking and LifeCycle Management, Discovery, licensing, and compliance/governance.
  • Proactively monitor , Maintain and troubleshoot implemented solutions and environment, identify and resolve issues, and ensure optimal performance of Production and Non-Production instances.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on ServiceNow ITSM,ITAM and entire EcoSystem features including best practises, emerging trends to drive innovation - Continuously learn about new features and updates to optimize the solution and existing architecture.
  • Leverage ServiceNow Platform’s core capabilities for ITSM, ITAM, Integration Hub, Designing Applications using App Engine Studios to align and achieve business objectives and innovation.
  • Design, Architect and implement processes as per the best practise of ServiceNow Eco System and CSDM model. Lead platform upgrade and migrations.

Implementation and Deployment:

  • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules(ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM or any other) to meet specific business requirements.
  • Develop custom workflows and scripts using ServiceNow APIs to extend platform functionality and automate specific tasks within ITAM/ITSM processes.
  • Implement best practices for data security, governance, and reporting.
  • Conduct testing and ensure seamless deployment of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Implement and Optimise Incident Module, Service Catalogue ,Change Module, Problem Management, App Engine Studio Applications, CMDB and so as to have a strong CSDM model implemented.
  • Provide ongoing support to users for ITSM, ITOM, HAM,SAM or any other ServiceNow functionalities.
  • This role will also involve contributing and mentoring Junior ServiceNow professionals and developers.

ServiceNow Senior Developer

  • Develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform using its built-in tools and functionalities.
  • Collaborate with business users and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner. Conduct DEMOs and UAT sessions with users.
  • Practise Agile development methodologies, attending meetings and delivering on project goals.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best development practices. Document code and functionalities to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer. Conduct code reviews and perform quality control checks.
  • Troubleshoot and fix technical problems that arise within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop and execute automated test cases to ensure software quality.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules (ITSM,ITAM or any other) to meet specific business requirements.
  • Develop custom workflows and scripts using ServiceNow APIs, integration hub , automation tools etc to extend platform functionality and automate specific tasks within ITAM/ITSM processes.
  • Configure business rules, UI actions, UI policies, data policies, client scripts, ACLs, notifications, reports, and dashboards.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems sing APIs and integrations, MID server, web services, email, and other methods.
  • Stay up-to-date on ServiceNow eatures including best practises, emerging trends to drive innovation - Continuously learn about new features and updates to optimize the solution and existing implementation.
  • Role is not only limited to any ServiceNow module but this will be applicable to the entire ServiceNow Eco-System.

Qualifications:
ServiceNow Architect
Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform, including configuration, customization, scripting, ServiceNow App Engine Studio, Workflows, APIs, Integration Hub and other development tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITSM , ITOM, HAM, and SAM processes and best practices. Experience with IT discovery tools.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and asset lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks , Relational Database.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks . Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certifications.
  • Certifications in ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, SAM, HAM) and ITIL practices are desirable.
  • At least 10 years of experience in ServiceNow development and Architecture.
  • Experience with developing and customizing ServiceNow ITOM, UI / UX, ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HR, CSM, GRC, and others.
  • Deep understanding and experience with Systems mentioned above.
  • Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and development tools, architecture, modules, and features.
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management DB, Service Catalogue, ITAM and ITSM.
  • Experience with ServiceNow scripting languages such as JavaScript, Jelly, Angular JS,HTML,CSS.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integration tools such as REST APIs and SOAP, MID Server, webservices and other methods.
