Job Summary:
We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer – UI Experience who specializes in designing and developing intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate should have expertise in ServiceNow UI development, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS), and Service Portal customization to enhance user interaction and improve overall system usability.
Key Responsibilities:
UI/UX Development:
- Develop customized and dynamic user interfaces on ServiceNow using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ServiceNow UI tools.
- Build and maintain Service Portals, Catalog items, and custom UI components to enhance user experience.
- Ensure UI designs are responsive, accessible (WCAG-compliant), and performance-optimized.
Service Portal & Catalog Development:
- Design and implement user-friendly Service Portals using ServiceNow’s AngularJS-based framework.
- Customize and optimize Service Catalog items and workflows for improved usability and efficiency.
- Develop widgets using ServiceNow’s Widget Editor and HTML/CSS to meet specific UI requirements.
Scripting & Automation:
- Write and maintain efficient JavaScript code (Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Business Rules) to improve UI functionality.
- Utilize ServiceNow’s Glide APIs for advanced UI customization and dynamic content rendering.
- Implement REST API integrations for real-time data updates within ServiceNow UI elements.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Perform unit testing and support system integration testing for UI components.
- Debug and troubleshoot UI-related issues, ensuring smooth cross-browser and cross-device performance.
- Collaborate with QA teams to execute test cases related to UI/UX components and Service Portal functionality.
Must-Have Skills:
Technical Skills:
ServiceNow Platform Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow UI development, particularly Service Portal, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Base customization.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Scripting APIs (Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions).
- Proficiency in creating custom widgets using ServiceNow’s Widget Editor.
- Familiarity with GlideForm and GlideUser APIs for personalized user experiences.
Front-End Development:
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AngularJS for building modern UI interfaces.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap for improved UI consistency.
Integration & Scripting:
- Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations to dynamically update UI elements with external system data.
- Understanding of JSON and XML for data exchange and dynamic content generation.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, AngularJS, and GlideScript for interactive UI component development.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, ATF) for ServiceNow UI testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a development environment.
- Prior experience working with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Dashboards.
ServiceNow Certifications:
- Mandatory:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Preferred:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist – Service Portal
- UI/UX-related certifications or courses
Soft Skills:
