The ServiceNow CMDB Business Owner is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). This role requires a deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, data governance, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure the CMDB strategy is effectively integrated and utilized across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:
• Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data within the CMDB.
• Service Dependency Management: Define and manage service dependencies and relationship with CI owners.
• Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the implementation and management of CMDB following the CSDM model for cloud and on-prem CIs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align CMDB with organizational needs.
• Governance and Policy Enforcement: Enforce governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance and data integrity.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to CMDB processes.
• Industry Trends and Advancements: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in CMDB and CSDM evolution, incorporating relevant updates into the organization’s strategy.
Key Accountability Deliverables:
• Organize the program of CMDB related activities, initiatives, and projects.
• Participate in data quality and integrity initiatives.
• Successful identify, build, and implement process improvements, especially around CI attestation.
• Ensure high stakeholder satisfaction with CMDB services.
• Enhance the functionality and value of the CMDB.
Experience and Education
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, or another discipline relevant to the healthcare industry.
Experience:
• 10+ years of experience within IT, with a demonstrated understanding of IT project and application management and strategies in a quality and regulated environment.
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM 4.0, including design, configuration, and deployment.
• Proven success in presenting complex information in an organization.
• Ability to develop and forge strong relationships and build consensus among competing stakeholders, and the ability to interact and conduct strategic discussions with multiple infrastructure support leaders, business process teams, and IT stakeholders.
• ITIL Certification or clear understanding of the framework.
• Strong work ethic and passion for driving results.
• Strong understanding of ITIL framework and ITSM processes.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of quality processes/validation processes.
• SDLC knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
