ServiceNow CMBD Engineer

I. WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

• The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) contractor will support the strategy, planning, design, implementation, management and performance of Configuration Management solutions that will effectively and efficiently support the strategic objectives and operational needs of the client.

• Work with the client's technical stakeholders to define configuration items and classes, their attributes, and data collection that are important to support the client's 2025 Ovation launch which consists of custom products and persistent COTS.

• Ensure timely population into the correct ServiceNow tables to support ITSM modules and business objectives.

II. SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience with ServiceNow

• Understanding capabilities, business applications, services, products, software packages, and their functionality in the ITIL model

• Comprehension of and the ability to communicate and implement the ITIL CMDB model

• Comprehension of the ServiceNow CSDM model

• Operational experience creating and managing CIs in the ServiceNow CMDB and AMDB

• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders to ensure an effective CMDB that adheres to governance standards

• Broad general knowledge of IT infrastructure topology including typical product, application, server, and networking configurations

• Experience with Microsoft Office desktop tools (Project, Word, Excel), Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
