Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Business Analyst to join our team remotely. The successful candidate will shadow the Product Owner and engage closely with the Customer Product Owner, explaining the ServiceNow Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) capability and helping to baseline current business processes and operating models.
Responsibilities:
- Identify areas of improvement in collaboration with the solution team and target application.
- Define to-be business processes by persona and scenario, and build necessary process documents.
- Decompose features into user stories with testable acceptance criteria, including reporting acceptance criteria if applicable.
- Understand the overall product vision, including customer experience, and communicate the approach within the scrum team.
- Engage with UX and development teams for backlog grooming, prioritizing bug fixes, UX improvements, and feature changes.
- Ensure the team maintains a groomed backlog for 2 sprints ahead.
- Negotiate prioritization of dependencies with other Product Managers and commit to opened dependencies.
- Attend demos and accept stories that meet the Definition of Done.
- Communicate clearly and regularly about user stories and their connection to features (customer/business requirements).
- Understand the scope of technical debt and collaborate with development/architecture for definition and prioritization of technical debt backlog items.
- Provide inputs for release management on defect criticality or related issues to facilitate production deployment decisions.
- Help drive roll-out and adoption of the solution.
- Build user manuals and work instructions for Go-live and operations.
Required Skills:
- Strong background in Scrum Master and Business Analysis.
- Experience with ServiceNow and understanding of its OOTB capabilities.
- Ability to baseline and improve current business processes and operating models.
- Proficiency in defining business processes, creating process documents, and decomposing features into user stories.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with UX and development teams effectively.
- Knowledge of technical debt and experience in release management.
