Job Role:
The purpose of the role is to support the successful implementation of ServiceNow Software Asset Management and ESM solutions for clients by providing expert technical design and development skills and best practices using the ServiceNow platform and applications. The role is an integral part of the ServiceNow delivery team (either client led ).
The role is a customer facing, billable consultant role. The consultant will be engaged on client projects providing ServiceNow technical expertise focusing on solution design, system configuration and/or customization to meet complex client business requirements. It requires hands-on implementation experience, up-to-date knowledge of the latest capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and tools, knowledge of best practices and certification in the relevant ServiceNow application(s).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide expertise and delivery of ServiceNow based consulting initiatives
Communicate technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to convey complex technical concepts in understandable business terms
Participate in business stakeholder workshops and showcases
Provide Subject Matter Expertise
Consult with business analyst/project manager to develop appropriate technical solutions
Execute technical solutions in capacity as a ServiceNow technical subject matter expert
Coach/advise other team members as required
Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow release and new capabilities
Participate in ServiceNow forums and communities
Maintain ServiceNow certification currency
Experience & Education:
Minimum 5 years’ developer/technical delivery experience with ATF skills
Minimum 3 years’ hands-on ServiceNow development/technical experience
Experience implementing ServiceNow solutions
Current ServiceNow Certifications including at least CSA and CIS ITSM
Experience using JavaScript, CSS and HTML
Tertiary degree qualification in a relevant discipline
Experience in Agile delivery methodology
Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of best practice OOTB ServiceNow ITSM and/or other relevant ServiceNow application configuration
Experience in providing creative solutions to business problems and working with ServiceNow, IT Service Management (ITIL) processes including Asset Management, metrics and key performance indicators
Team collaboration and communication skills
Excellent documentation and presentation skills
Ability to mentor/lead junior team members
Awareness/knowledge of technical components including LDAP, VPN, SSL and other relevant technologies (eg: Testing tools, integration tools)
Thorough knowledge of end to end SDLC
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
