Senior Web Developer

The Texas Education Agency is seeking a Senior UX and Product Design Lead to enhance user experience for TEA applications and websites. This role involves overseeing UX/UI design decisions, translating research into wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with product teams to align design solutions with end-user needs. 

Key responsibilities include:
Leading UX/UI design to ensure a user-centric focus and adherence to agency design standards.
Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes based on user stories and requirements.
Conducting user testing and ensuring products meet end-user needs.
Collaborating with the product team and leadership on design solutions.
Ensuring designs and websites meet federal accessibility guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI.
8+ years of experience designing mockups and wireframes following UX best practices.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user research, visual design, and usability studies.
5+ years of experience conducting user and usability research.
5+ years of strong writing and organizational skills.
5+ years of demonstrated communication and facilitation skills.
4+ years of direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts.
4+ years of documented experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
3+ years of experience ensuring compliance with federal accessibility guidelines
