Description

  • Oversee UX/UI designs to ensure alignment with user experience best practices and agency-wide design standards.
  • Translate research findings into user stories, requirements, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Conduct user testing and outreach to validate product effectiveness in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Partner with the product team and key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to develop design solutions and rationales.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience designing mockups and wireframes in alignment with UX best practices.
  • A professional portfolio demonstrating user research, visual design, and usability studies.
  • At least 8 years of experience conducting user and usability research.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading large-scale UX/UI initiatives.
  • At least 4 years of experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma or similar design tools.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience ensuring designs and websites comply with federal accessibility guidelines.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience using issue-tracking software such as Atlassian Jira.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience working with TEA or another state/local education agency
