Description

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) is a strategic leader responsible for managing and mentoring program management teams while driving cross-functional technical initiatives from concept through deployment. This role requires a high level of technical and business acumen to lead agile teams comprising Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, and Operations personnel. The TPM will collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and Design teams to define solutions, solidify business cases, and manage program performance in alignment with cost, quality, and schedule expectations. The position also involves partnership development, strategic planning, and organizational leadership to realize the company’s vision.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional leadership and mentorship for program management teams, including Level 1, 2, and senior PMs
  • Lead agile, cross-functional product development teams from concept to deployment
  • Manage complex programs with a focus on performance, quality, regulatory compliance, budget, and schedule
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define product and experience specifications
  • Drive execution of solutions through agile practices and adherence to Application Lifecycle Management frameworks
  • Create and monitor program performance standards across global teams
  • Translate customer problems into solution requirements with measurable ROI
  • Oversee system integration planning, release management, and proof-of-concept initiatives
  • Facilitate cross-functional workstreams for development, deployment, and sales enablement
  • Conduct program reviews and present progress to senior leadership using digital dashboards and tools such as JIRA
  • Develop and retain high-performing teams through effective hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
  • Navigate and resolve obstacles with minimal managerial oversight
  • Partner with Client Ventures and external technology companies to identify and integrate innovative solution elements
  • Ensure alignment of strategic initiatives with portfolio management goals
  • Support intellectual property development and protection


 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 10–12 years of experience in Engineering or Program Management in fast-paced, agile environments
  • Minimum of 2 years in a team supervisory or managerial role
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage product development lifecycles
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated experience in product launches and enterprise solution delivery

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

  • Master’s degree in a technical or business-related field
  • Background in asset intelligence (e.g., Location Services, Machine Learning, Machine Vision)
  • Experience with mobile application development (Android/iOS)
  • Familiarity with strategic partnerships, venture collaboration, or startup ecosystems

Certifications (if any)

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification a plus
