Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced Tableau dashboards to visualize healthcare and human services data.
- Utilize data blending techniques across multiple programs and agencies to improve outcomes and reduce costs.
- Implement data-driven algorithms, visualizations, and mapping solutions for program performance measurement.
- Design and maintain metadata frameworks, views, and data marts within Tableau.
- Collaborate with ETL, BI, and data warehouse teams to optimize reporting and analytics.
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and transformation.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
- Participate in unit, integration, and system testing to ensure data accuracy and performance.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Stay up to date with new technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Tableau development, including dashboard design and implementation.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, working with Medicaid claims, enrollment data, and EDI/X12 837, 277, and 835 data.
- Strong SQL development skills, including BTEQ, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- 2+ years of experience in data warehouse projects.
- 2+ years of experience with Teradata (version 14+), including SQL Assistant.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to executive-level audiences.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics, or Business Technology.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to organizational culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience creating innovative Tableau solutions using EDI/X12 healthcare data.
- 2+ years of experience in Tableau Server administration.
- Experience with SAP Business Objects and/or SAS.
- Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and healthcare industry regulations.
- Prior experience with Tableau or Business Objects version upgrades.
- Experience working in Agile environments
