Senior Systems Analyst

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall development, configuration, maintenance, administration and technical support of applications and platforms to ensure compatibility and integration with business operations and enterprise strategies.
• Ensure IT services are delivered for their assigned business function(s) in a manner consistent with the service definition.
• Assist business units in the development and implementation of their strategic objectives, policies, procedures and standards.
• Write complex SQL and stored procedures (DB2 preferred); translating specifications and rules into SQL.
• Work with data modeling tools (Erwin preferred).
• Interpret and write source to target mappings (ETL transformation rules).
• Work with string and data manipulation functions and macros with Microsoft Excel.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries.
• Maintain and interpret data lineages.

Required Skills

• Ability to speak to the various aspect of the SDLC.
• Ability to draw out high-level and detailed designs and represent them as flow diagrams (preferably using Visio).
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Ability to design end-to-end data warehousing / reporting solutions using components like databases, ETL tools and reporting frameworks.
• Ability to work closely with Development, PV and UAT teams to provide them the required support.
• Able to lead junior SA persons and possibly provide feedback on multiple projects.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in English language (as a medium of communication).
• Frank and open communication with peers and higher-ups about realistic estimations and meeting timelines/expectations and proactive communication of issues and concerns thereof.
• Assertiveness in communicating ideas, estimates, scope and timelin.

Required Experience

• 2 years experience working within waterfall or agile IT project methodologies is required
• Experience working with SAS.
• Hands-on Atlassian tool experience (Jira, Confluence), Mural and Tableau preferred
• Strong SQL experience.
• Software support experience is preferred.
• Business analysis experience is preferred.
• Project management and/or cross-functional team leadership experience is preferred.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
