A. Identify and research new systems, cloud technologies products for applicability to
business functions.
B. Develop and expand the use of existing platforms and applications including Oracle and
SQL databases, Salesforce, Azure, ESRI, .NET, PowerBuilder, AASHTOware, SharePoint,
Microsoft Power Platform.
C. Provide technology briefings on emerging technology systems to OIT management, the
IT Steering Committee (ITSC), or to other teams as directed by OIT management.
D. Provide recommendations to OIT management, the ITSC, or other teams
regarding specific systems or COTS product.
E. Develop detailed short-term and long-term plans for implementation.
F. Advise and participate in Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution
G. Advise on and conduct data classification of applications and conducting security related
research.
H. Represent on the Network Architecture Working Group (NAWG).
I. Participate in the OIT PRC meetings to adopt or reject new IT project requests.
J. Other duties as assigned include documentation as directed by the Department.
Experience:
1. Five (5) years’ experience as a Systems Architect.
2. Demonstrated progression in responsibilities and roles, with experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions within the Transportation Industry.
Certifications:
1. Active PMP certification.
2. Active mid to advanced cloud certification (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
Technical Skills:
• Expert-level knowledge or experience in enterprise-level modeling and tools (e.g., UML).
• Experience building solutions in MS Azure.
• Six (6) years’ experience with MS Power Platform
