Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Administrator with expertise in Windows Server administration, VMware, Hyper-V, and Linux systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimising a complex and dynamic IT infrastructure across multiple platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019).
Administer, optimise and manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
Perform backup and recovery tasks and ensure data integrity.
Manage server and Server security, including patch management, firewall configuration, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with security policies
Collaborate with network, security, and application teams for infrastructure-related requirements.
Implement and manage automation scripts for repetitive tasks (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
Provide support for audits and compliance requirements.
Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and changes.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools and strategies35.
Good understanding of virtualization concepts, resource management, and performance tuning in VMware and Hyper-V
Oversee and support storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS) and perform data migrations as needed
Lead disaster recovery planning, including backup and restore operations, replication, and failover testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new projects, deployments, and upgrades
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) to improve efficiency and consistency

Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
10–12 years of hands-on experience in system administration.
Strong experience in Windows Server and Active Directory management.
In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Solid understanding of Linux system administration and scripting.
Experience with storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
Good understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, RHCE are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
