Description

  • Tech Focus: Not a platform build, but a customer product built over a decade ago, currently using traditional C/C++. The goal is to modernize and migrate the product to Java. The current system is outdated and clunky, and the project is currently behind schedule (2 quarters behind).

 

  • Key Challenge: Migration to Java is a priority to scale the system and leverage AI technology.

 

  • Experience: Strong problem-solving skills required—candidates must not only be familiar with the code but have actually solved problems within it. Experience in similar large tech migrations is a must.

 

  • Experience Level: 15-20+ years of engineering experience.

 

  • Industry Background: Suggested that we look at candidates from finance or healthcare with experience in on-prem services are ideal.

 

  • Tech Skills: Proven experience solving problems in C/C++ and migrating to Java. Previous experience with migrations related to large, consumer-facing products is a plus (not internal apps).

 

  • Collaboration: This project requires strong cross-collaboration across product, DevOps, and engineering teams. The work involves building, testing, and deploying code, migrating features in chunks
