We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with architectural experience to support state government initiatives focused on modernizing and optimizing IT service delivery. This individual will play a key role in designing scalable, secure, and efficient ServiceNow solutions while also leading development efforts across various modules and integrations.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with 5+ years focused on ServiceNow development and hands-on exposure to platform architecture, governance, and best practices. This is a high-impact role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and other architects.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions across the platform.

Serve as a subject matter expert for the ServiceNow platform, advising on architectural decisions, governance, and long-term scalability.Develop and maintain custom applications, workflows, integrations, and automation using ServiceNow best practices.

Drive platform enhancements in alignment with business goals and compliance standards specific to public sector environments.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and actionable development tasks.

Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems and tools using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and IntegrationHub.

Establish and maintain development standards, code repositories, and documentation for ongoing support.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to overall platform maturity and knowledge-sharing.

Stay current with new ServiceNow releases and evaluate opportunities to leverage new capabilities. Required Qualifications:

10+ years of overall experience in enterprise IT environments, including application development and system integration.

5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, including scripting, configuration, and custom application development.

Proven experience contributing to or leading platform architecture and strategic design initiatives.

Proven experience leveraging the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) across the platform to capture technical and business environments.

Ability to collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and govern the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and UI/UX customization.

Strong understanding of ITIL practices and experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.

At least one advanced certification (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Implementation Specialist, or Certified Technical Architect). Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on state or local government IT projects or regulated public sector environments.

Familiarity with data security, accessibility, and compliance standards applicable to government systems (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, CJIS)
