Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Project Manager with over 7 years of experience in project management, particularly within agile environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in using Jira for project planning, tracking, and reporting, and will be capable of leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope and budget.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Lead and manage complex projects from initiation to closure using agile, scrum, or hybrid methodologies.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, sprint schedules, resource plans, and risk management plans.
• Utilize Jira to create and manage Epics, Stories, Tasks, Bugs, Sprints, and Releases.
• Monitor and track progress using Jira dashboards, burndown charts, and customized reports.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while managing dependencies and blockers.
• Facilitate scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Communicate project updates, status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospective feedback and process enhancements.
• Mentor and support junior PMs and team members on best practices and tools usage.
  
   

Required Qualifications

 

• 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in software or IT environments.
• Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum projects with distributed teams.
• Expert-level proficiency in Jira, including project configuration, workflows, filters (JQL), dashboards, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification a plus).

• Experience with Confluence, Trello, or other Atlassian tools.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC).
• Change management or risk management expertise.
• Previous experience in SaaS, fintech, or product-based companies
