Senior PowerBI Engineer

Senior Power BI Engineer with strong BI architecture experience
Able to contribute at both development and architectural levels
Focused on delivering scalable, enterprise-grade BI solutions
Will guide technical strategy, best practices, and team mentorship
Core Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI (data models, dashboards, DAX)
Architect scalable BI platforms integrated with SQL and cloud data environments
Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate business needs into solutions
Optimize semantic models and data pipelines for performance and scalability
Define and enforce BI and data governance best practices (security, standards, reusability)
Drive automation and modular design across reporting layers
Contribute to data architecture planning and integration strategies
Mentor and support junior BI engineers and analysts
Required Technical Skills
8+ years in BI, data analytics, or data engineering
Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, row-level security, visual storytelling)
Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing
Experience with Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL DB)
Strong SQL skills; working knowledge of Python is a plus
Proven ability to build and scale enterprise BI platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for BI/reporting deployments
Exposure to cloud-native platforms like Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or GCP BigQuery
