Senior Network Engineer

Job Description:
A leading worldwide technologies and services company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer for a long-term onsite role in Martinez, CA. This position involves managing a 100% Cisco environment, providing Level 2 and Level 3 support, and working on cutting-edge networking and security technologies.

The role requires a technically proficient professional with extensive experience in Cisco-based infrastructure, enterprise-level networking, and Palo Alto firewalls.

Environment Overview:

• Fully Cisco-based environment, including routers, switches, and AnyConnect VPN (transitioning to Palo Alto in the future).
• Firewalls: Palo Alto Networks.
• Operations span a primary site in Martinez, CA, and over 10 remote locations.
• Use of Trackit ticketing system for managing support and escalations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for a large-scale Cisco network.
• Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless infrastructure.
• Support firewall configurations and security measures using Palo Alto Networks.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to handle escalations and maintain operational excellence.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networking.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Familiarity with security protocols and implementation.

Required Experience:

• Extensive support experience in an enterprise environment (500-2000 users).
• Experience managing large data center environments.
• Proven track record of Level II and Level III support.
• CCNP Certification in Routing and Switching (highly preferred).
