Senior Network Engineer Level 3

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and install network devices and services, such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load balancers, SDWAN, VPNs.
• Monitor and manage network performance, availability, and security, using tools such as SNMP, Netflow, Wireshark.
• Analyze and resolve network problems, using packet capture, trace route, ping.
• Document network architecture, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in network projects and initiatives, such as network upgrades, migrations, expansions, etc.
• Ensure compliance with ITSM processes, such as change management, incident management, problem management, etc.
• Develop and automate network tasks and workflows, using scripting languages and tools, such as Python, Terraform, Ansible, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 12 - 15 years of experience in network infrastructure build, administration, or support.
• Hands-on expertise on network routing, switching, firewall, and load balancing technologies and protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, LAN/WAN, ACL, IPSec, etc.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and practices, such as firewall rules, VPNs, encryption, authentication, etc.
• Good understanding of cloud connectivity and integration, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
• Excellent network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are preferred.
• Nice to have network automation experience with Python, Terraform, or Ansible.
