Description

Key Responsibilities:
 Administer MS SQL Server databases (2012–2019) – setup, monitoring, upgrades & migrations
 Implement and support High Availability (AlwaysOn, FCI, Log Shipping, Replication)
 Perform Performance Tuning – query optimization, indexing, statistics
 Manage Backups/Recovery – native SQL, RMAN-like tools, restore strategies
 Conduct DR drills, failover testing, and capacity planning
 Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell/Shell scripting
 Collaborate with dev teams for query tuning and schema refinement
 Participate in audits, RCA documentation, and change management

Must-Have Skills:
 Strong hands-on with SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2019
 Experience in AlwaysOn, clustering, log shipping, failover planning
 Strong with T-SQL, performance tuning, SQL Profiler, DMVs
 Good knowledge of Windows Server administration and security practices
 Tools: SSMS, ServiceNow, SolarWinds/AppDynamics (or equivalent)
