Description

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Administrator to serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for managing, optimizing, and modernizing the Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will have deep enterprise-level expertise, proven experience driving large-scale M365 initiatives, and a strong background in collaboration, security, and compliance. This forward-thinking role will directly support modernization projects, tenant optimization, and end-user adoption while ensuring secure and scalable cloud collaboration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and drive Microsoft 365 upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.

Architect, configure, and maintain Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and M365 Admin Center.

Implement best practices for identity, access management, security, and compliance including Conditional Access, Sensitivity Labels, DLP, and Defender for O365.

Manage tenant-level configurations, hybrid integrations, and licensing strategies.

Proactively monitor system health, usage metrics, and compliance dashboards using PowerShell, Graph API, and Microsoft Security & Compliance Center.

Develop and enforce governance standards, documentation, and disaster recovery procedures.

Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.

Mentor junior team members and act as technical escalation point for complex issues.

Evaluate emerging Microsoft 365 technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Provide end-user training and guidance to drive adoption and maximize business value.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

7+ years of hands-on administration/engineering experience with Microsoft 365 in enterprise environments.

Proven success in M365 implementations, upgrades, and enterprise-level projects.

Strong expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD.

Advanced experience with the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

Strong PowerShell scripting skills and Graph API experience.

Expertise in security and compliance configurations (Defender for O365, Conditional Access, DLP, Sensitivity Labels).

Knowledge of hybrid Active Directory and legacy system integrations.

Microsoft Certifications (MS-100, MS-101, SC-300, or equivalent).

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
