Senior Linux/UNIX Administrator

• Administer SQL Server and Oracle databases, handling various DBA tasks across multiple environments.
• Support, maintain, and document multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Collaborate with development teams for SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and writing effective SQL code.
• Perform .NET application development and hands-on programming in SQL Server/Oracle and Linux/UNIX environments.
• Manage ETL processes including writing queries, stored procedures, and ETL job maintenance.
• Provide database architecture and programming support, including user/authentication management and performance tuning.
• Develop with Microsoft .NET technologies (ASP.NET, ADO.NET), VB.NET, C#, and Python.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
• Communicate effectively with developers, business users, and project managers.
• Apply knowledge of Transact-SQL, MySQL, SSRS, SSIS, and linked servers.
• Utilize project management skills for overseeing multiple simultaneous assignments.
• Leverage experience with web application/database integration and shell scripting on Linux/UNIX systems.
• AI experience is a plus.
  
   

Qualifications

 

• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in SQL Server, Oracle; DB2 is a plus.
• 5-8 years of backend software design (SQL Server, stored procedures, SQL/T-SQL).
• Proficient in .NET technologies, Python, and scripting languages (JavaScript, HTML, XML, VBScript).
• Experience in Windows and Linux environments with shell scripting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Project management experience is beneficial
