Job Description:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Extensive experience in UNIX/Linux engineering
Acts as a Linux subject matter expert
Strong skills in Linux engineering, troubleshooting, testing, hardening, and performance tuning
In-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel
Proficient in package management using Ansible and Satellite Server
Familiarity with RPM tools such as ip, dnf, and nmcli
Experience with apt, Ubiquity, Debian Installer, and UFW
Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding YAML and JSON files
Strong automation and scripting skills in Perl, Bash, Python, or similar languages
Solid understanding of configuration management tools like Puppet and Chef
Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing Linux file systems
Practical DevOps experience with Ansible and Terraform
Familiarity with vCenter, VMware OVF Tool, and HashiCorp Vault and Packer
Knowledge of CIS Workbench hardening, Linux Test Project, and developing test cases
Experience with TestRail to enhance testing workflows
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Skilled in creating technical drawings and schematics using Lucidchart or Visio
Experience with GitLab for creating workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and setting variables
Experience working in a SAFe/Agile environment using Jira Portfolio/Jira Align for project and task management.
