Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain custom Jira workflows, fields, screens, and permissions for multiple projects and business units.
Develop and maintain advanced automation rules using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools.
Integrate Jira with other enterprise systems (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, ServiceNow, etc.).
Manage and configure Jira projects, boards, and schemes for Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams.
Provide user training, documentation, and technical support to stakeholders.
Monitor system performance, perform upgrades, and ensure data integrity and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement Jira-based solutions.
Lead initiatives for Jira migrations, consolidations, and system optimization.
Administer and manage Jira Service Management projects and queues, as needed.
Required Qualifications:
9+ years of hands-on experience with Jira administration and development.
Strong knowledge of Jira Query Language (JQL), scripting (ScriptRunner, Groovy), and Jira REST APIs.
Deep experience in configuring and managing complex workflows, custom fields, and permission schemes.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and how Jira supports them.
Experience integrating Jira with CI/CD pipelines and other development tools.
Proficient in Confluence administration and customization.
Solid understanding of user management, access controls, and security best practices within Atlassian suite.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or Atlassian Certified Expert.
Experience with cloud-to-cloud or server-to-cloud Jira migrations.
Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL concepts and Jira Service Management.
Prior experience working in large enterprise environments
