Position Overview: Colonial Pipeline is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Network Engineer to join their Information Technology (IT) team. Key Responsibilities: Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of network solutions that meet business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network needs and recommend improvements. Network Optimization and Performance: Proactively monitor and manage network health, performance, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and incidents promptly. Implement capacity planning and scaling strategies. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change logs. Generate reports on network performance, capacity, and security. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff. Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing. Project Management: Manage and lead network-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Collaborate with project stakeholders and vendors. Vendor and Supplier Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers. Ensure vendor deliverables align with project requirements and performance expectations.

MUST HAVES: Ideally 5 -7 years or more supporting enterprise networking environments Strong experience with Cisco network equipment Strong experience with layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing concepts Strong experience with MPLS and WAN concepts and technology Experience with Cisco DMVPN a plus Experience with Cisco Firepower a plus Experience with zero-trust security posture environments a plus
