Senior Hypervisor Engineer

We’re actively looking for a Senior Hypervisor Engineer for a contract role with our client in Jersey City, NJ. This is an onsite opportunity for a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in OpenShift, hypervisors, and programming.

Key Requirements:
Mandatory: Experience with OpenShift on bare metal clusters using Java/Python/Go.

Install and configure OpenShift clusters and replicate existing VMware customizations.

Automate deployment and configuration for wider rollout.
Translate existing VMware setups into OpenShift equivalents through custom coding.

Candidate Profile:
10+ years of hands-on experience in open-source software development with a focus on virtualization.
Strong knowledge of open-source hypervisors at the kernel and firmware level.
Proficiency in Java, Python, and Go is essential.
Experience with OpenShift, KVM, or similar infrastructure tools is a must.
Engineers with both infrastructure and coding expertise are preferred.
Background in product companies like VMware or Red Hat is a big plus.
Comfortable working with open-source code and adapting it to client ecosystems.
Contribute to open-source projects, optimize performance, and collaborate across software, hardware, and security teams.
