Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Platform BTP, Gardener, IAS Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on developing, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications using cutting-edge tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in AWS hyperscalers, SAP Converged Cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and various automation and container orchestration solutions. This position emphasizes collaboration, security best practices, and strong communication skills to ensure efficient and scalable deployments in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Utilize advanced knowledge of AWS hyperscalers to deploy robust and scalable cloud platforms.
2. Leverage expertise in SAP Converged Cloud (OpenStack) to optimize cloud infrastructure and application management.
3. Develop and maintain deployment automation using tools like Ansible, Chef, and Terraform.
4. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins for streamlined workflows.
5. Set up monitoring frameworks with tools like Dynatrace and CloudWatch to track performance and resolve issues proactively.
6. Implement logging systems using Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Logstash to enhance operational visibility.
7. Configure cloud networking tools, including AWS VPCs, VNet, and Google VPC, for secure and efficient connections.
8. Deploy and orchestrate cloud-native applications using Gardener, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm charts.
9. Manage repositories and service tools like Artifactory, JFrog, Consul, and Zookeeper for application lifecycle support.
10. Ensure security best practices through hardened containers and images, and utilize tools like Hashicorp Vault and GitHub Secrets for secret management.
11. Develop scripts using Python and PowerShell to automate tasks and optimize processes.
12. Apply database expertise with SAP HANA to manage data effectively.
13. Administer operating systems like Linux and RHEL to ensure stability and scalability.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
• 6+ years of professional experience in cloud-native application development and platform engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS hyperscalers and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging tools, and container orchestration technologies (Gardener, Kubernetes, and Docker).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and cloud networking tools (AWS VPC, VNet, Google VPC).
• Familiarity with security best practices, including hardened containers and images.

Nice-to-Have:

• Expertise in SAP Converged Cloud (OpenStack) and familiarity with SAP solution portfolio.
• Experience with repository management tools like Artifactory and service tools like Consul.
• Advanced knowledge of GitLab/GitHub and agile development practices.
• Strong understanding of security tools such as Hashicorp Vault and advanced database management with SAP HANA.
• Fluency in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
