Senior Database Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with advanced expertise in Snowflake, proficiency in Snowpipe, and strong knowledge of Tableau for data visualization. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in database development and analytics, focusing on building modern data warehouse solutions and creating insightful dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using Snowflake.

Implement and manage Snowpipe for automated and real-time data ingestion.

Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Create and manage data models, schemas, and pipelines to support analytics and reporting.

Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports using Tableau.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within Snowflake and Tableau.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance database and dashboard performance.

Document database and visualization processes, architectures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role.

Extensive expertise in Snowflake data warehouse design and development.

Proven experience with Snowpipe for real-time data ingestion.

Proficiency in Tableau for developing interactive and insightful dashboards.

Strong skills in SQL and query performance optimization.

Deep understanding of data warehousing principles, including schema design and data modeling.

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools like Informatica, Talend, or custom pipelines.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Scala for automation.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

Certification in Snowflake or Tableau is highly desirable
