Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building and optimizing scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics. This role requires strong hands-on development skills, the ability to design efficient data pipelines, and experience working with large-scale data environments in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and solutions using MS Fabric and Synapse Analytics.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to enable advanced analytics and reporting.
• Optimize performance of data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance across all data solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage.
• Monitor and manage data infrastructure performance, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Contribute to cloud modernization initiatives and migration projects from legacy systems to Azure.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric.
• Deep experience in Azure Synapse Analytics (dedicated SQL pools, serverless SQL pools, pipelines).
• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and query optimization.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and BI concepts.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and other Azure Data Services.
• Familiarity with Python, PySpark, or Scala for data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
