Senior Data Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data solutions to meet business requirements. Experience in design,

development of data architecture, and data flow solutions leveraging the latest data/technology

frameworks.

• Develop and maintain ETL and data pipelines processes for seamless data flow.

• Optimize data storage, processing, and analysis for performance and efficiency.

• Implement data models and schema designs to support analytical needs.

• Conduct data quality assessments and ensure data integrity.

• Specialize in performance tuning of ETL processes, data warehouses, data models, model

performance etc.

• Mentor and guide other ETL developers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused team

environment. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and objectives.

• Collaborate with the technology groups to define the data strategy and roadmap, including data

migration strategy, master data management strategy and data architecture strategy.

• Work with Business and Application Architects to review strategies, requirements, and solutions

to assess the impact on data and information architecture and ensure consistency and traceability

throughout the enterprise architecture.

• Own governance of data architecture principles and policies and apply influence across delivery

teams to ensure compliance and adoption of standard methodology.

• Expertise to reverse engineer existing databases and recreate the data models. Generate

metadata for the database objects, redesign data flows and control flows.

• Perform design walk through and approvals, review solution architectures, drive data literacy and

maintain reference architectures with the data domain specifications.

• Work with the architecture team on standards, tooling, and production of on-going architecture

requirements such as Data Lineage, Lifecycle Management, Quality Monitoring and Metadata

Management.

• Responsible for development and maintenance of Enterprise Data frameworks and approaches

for data & analytics domain, architecture governance and tooling.

• Establish data architecture roadmaps, reference and target architecture, architectural and design

principles, best practices, patterns, standards, and alignment of data architecture principles and

standards.

• Stay updated on industry trends and provide architectural guidance about emerging technologies

in data development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 10+ years’ experience as a Data Architect in data modeling, streaming data, and data

architecture for operational and analytical datastores

• Proficient in SQL Server and Cloud platforms with a strong understanding of its architecture and

capabilities.

• Proficiency in data-focused coding platforms (e.g., SQL, Python).

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud stack.

• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques with tools such as

Erwin data modeler, PowerDesigner, ArchiMate, Lucidchart.

• Experience with data governance and data lineage tools such as Microsoft Purview, Informatica,

and Collibra.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide a data team effectively.
