Description

Key Responsibilities:
Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for mechanical and electromechanical vehicle systems and components.
Develop concepts and design layouts for vehicle interiors, exteriors, chassis, powertrain, or electrical systems.
Ensure design compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards (such as ASME Y14.5), and manufacturing constraints.
Collaborate with engineers to support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) best practices.
Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and incorporate GD&T into drawings.
Manage CAD data using PLM tools such as Windchill or Teamcenter.
Revise and update designs based on feedback from prototyping, testing, and validation phases.
Coordinate with suppliers for technical inputs and manufacturability analysis.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in CAD design within the motor vehicle or automotive industry.
Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA V5/V6, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of GD&T, BOM structures, and engineering change management.
Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes including injection molding, casting, sheet metal, and machining
