Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud ETL Developer with expertise in AWS Cloud and Cassandra to design and implement scalable ETL workflows. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in ETL development and data engineering, leveraging AWS services and Cassandra to deliver robust, high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines on AWS Cloud to support data integration and transformation needs.
• Work with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift to implement scalable data solutions.
• Optimize ETL workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency on AWS.
• Develop and maintain data models and workflows integrating with Cassandra for high-availability storage and querying.
• Optimize Cassandra configurations and queries for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analysts to gather and translate business requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance across ETL processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL-related issues to maintain seamless operations.
• Document ETL processes, architectures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS Cloud services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift).
• Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Cassandra, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
• Familiarity with job orchestration and scheduling tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Python, Scala, or other programming languages for ETL scripting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with real-time data processing tools like Kafka or Kinesis.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
