Senior Cisco Network Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Senior Cisco Engineer with over 10 years of extensive experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco networking solutions. In this role, you will lead complex projects, provide expert-level technical guidance, and foster strong client relationships through effective communication and the demonstration of deep industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of advanced Cisco networking solutions, leveraging your extensive experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.

Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of Cisco implementation projects, from initial planning and architecture to successful deployment and ongoing support.

Client Engagement: Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, establishing trust and confidence through clear communication of technical concepts and solutions tailored to their business needs.

Consultation and Solution Architecture: Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to clients on optimizing their network infrastructure using Cisco technologies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business objectives.

Troubleshooting and Resolution: Offer expert-level troubleshooting support for complex network issues, delivering timely resolutions and minimizing operational disruptions.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures, and share knowledge with team members to enhance collective expertise.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, and other engineering disciplines, to deliver integrated solutions that exceed client expectations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent highly preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, spanning routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and executing large-scale Cisco implementation projects.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
• Strong client-facing skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport, instill confidence, and cultivate long-term relationships.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging Cisco technologies and industry trends.

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Cisco networking solutions and architecture.
• Willingness to travel to Vermont occasionally for client meetings, project deployments, or professional development opportunities.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices is advantageous
