Seeking a Senior Cisco Network Architect (CCIE) to design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures for a state IT department. The role involves ensuring secure, high-performance networking using Cisco technologies, compliance with government standards, and collaboration with IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Architecture: Design scalable and secure enterprise networks using Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Routing & Switching: Implement OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and Layer 2/3 switching technologies (STP, VLANs, VXLAN).
- Wireless Networking: Deploy Cisco Meraki/Catalyst WLAN solutions, ensuring high security and optimal coverage.
- Security & Compliance: Implement firewalls, VPNs, IPS, and meet NIST/FISMA/HIPAA compliance standards.
- Performance & Troubleshooting: Use tools like Cisco Prime, SolarWinds for monitoring, optimization, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work with IT teams, vendors, and mentor junior engineers.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, and generate performance/security reports.
- Disaster Recovery: Implement redundancy (HSRP, VRRP) and business continuity strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
